From ten scattered forms to a single request.
A complete redesign of the website for Inspect Belgium, a BELAC-accredited inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020). We merged a scattered request process into a single smart form and repositioned each type of inspection as an informative, search-optimised page, all bilingual in French and Dutch.
Inspect Belgium is an independent inspection body, accredited by BELAC to the ISO/IEC 17020 standard. It carries out statutory inspections of electrical installations, gas, EPB (energy performance), water and fire safety, for both private individuals and businesses, in Wallonia and Flanders.
The starting point.
The old website ran on a standard Odoo theme with no art direction: alternating image and text blocks used straight out of the box, empty photo placeholders and the template's beige buttons. Even the tagline, "PROGRESSION PAR LE CONTROLE", had lost its circumflex accent. For a BELAC-accredited body, that was embarrassing.
The site also had a proliferation of pages and request forms, one for each type of inspection. The result: visitors got lost, and requests were hard for the team to process. The inspection pages mainly served as gateways to those forms, with no real informative content or value for organic search.
Our approach.
UX / Design
A clean, reassuring design befitting an accredited body. A "private / business" selector that adapts the journey, clearer navigation, and a single request form that guides users step by step according to the inspection or inspections they need.
Technical
Bilingual FR / NL Odoo website, with custom-built pages and components (layout, styles, interactions). Full technical SEO: titles and metadata for every page, social sharing images and structured data (JSON-LD). A GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner, with conditional loading of audience measurement (Google Analytics 4).
Custom-built
At the heart of the project is a central request form: multiple selection of inspections, an automatically generated subject line, conditional fields depending on the profile (private individual or business) and language choice. Each inspection now has its own informative page (residential and non-residential electrics, gas, EPB, water, fire safety, food trucks and events, solar panels, charging points, and more). Additional pages: FAQ, legal notice, privacy, cookies, terms and conditions, jobs and applications.
The result.
What WebNest delivered.
Inspect Belgium now has a clear, professional website worthy of its accreditation. The request process, once spread across many forms, fits on a single page that automatically guides private individuals and businesses. Easier for visitors to send, easier for the team to handle. Each type of inspection has become an informative page optimised for search engines, laying the groundwork for lasting visibility. The whole site is bilingual FR / NL, GDPR-compliant and ready to evolve.
