Restomax: two worlds, a single ecosystem.

Restomax equips the Belgian hospitality sector with POS systems. WebNest redesigned its site to speak to its two audiences, the fast food running at full tilt and the restaurant humming along, with two visual worlds, two domains (.be and .fr) and a blog turned into a real help centre.

The client

Restomax is a complete POS ecosystem for hospitality: registers, kiosks, QR ordering, click & collect, 7/7 support.

The challenge

The starting point.

The old site had the tics of its era: a pink-to-orange gradient hero cut by a decorative wave, flat illustrations of the hardware, and the same message for everyone.

A market leader that had just reworked its identity expected better. And the real challenge was clarity: Restomax serves both fast food (a frantic pace, quick checkout, kiosks) and restaurants (table service, reservations, a calmer way of working). Two worlds, two vocabularies, two mindsets. A single site had to welcome both without mixing them, and let every visitor recognise themselves straight away.

Key objectives
Translate the rebranding into a new site
Speak to two audiences: fast food and restaurant
Cover two markets (BE/FR) multilingually
The solution

Our approach.

UX / Design

We built two distinct visual worlds that coexist under the Restomax brand. From the homepage, the visitor chooses their world (« I run a fast food » or « I run a restaurant ») and switches into a world that speaks to them, without ever getting lost. The full richness of the product thus fits into a perfectly clear site.

Technical

Restomax addresses Belgium and France, where hospitality terms change from one country to the other. We deployed two sites on two domains (.be and .fr) sharing the same base, with terminology adapted to each market: the Belgian and the French visitor each read 'their' trade language.

Custom-built

POS software is used every day, and it raises questions. Rather than a classic blog, we repurposed Odoo's blog module into a real help centre: practical articles, organised so the restaurateur quickly finds their answer.

Restomax also relies on numerous integrations. We added filtering so everyone quickly finds the tool or partner they're interested in.

And for the reseller network, a « find a reseller near me » linked to Odoo's contact module: the visitor filters and lands on the right contact, without leaving the site.

The result.

The project in brief

What WebNest delivered.

Restomax now has a site that embraces its rebranding, speaks precisely to its two audiences, covers two markets with their codes, and supports its clients day to day via its help centre. A digital tool that truly serves the brand's strategy.

For WebNest, Restomax shows that a lot of complexity (two worlds, two markets, a rich product) can fit into a clear site, without ever losing the visitor.

“A new website on Odoo that is an effective piece of our digital strategy and that suits our rebranding. Quick reactivity, always found solutions.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Why did Restomax turn to a web agency specialising in Odoo?
Restomax had just reworked its identity but was still speaking to everyone in the same way. Yet the software company addresses two worlds: fast food, with its pace and kiosks, and restaurants, with table service. Two vocabularies, two mindsets, one site.
What was custom-built for Restomax?
Two distinct visual worlds under the same brand: from the homepage, visitors choose their world and switch to the one that speaks to them. We also rolled out two sites on two domains, .be and .fr, using each market's hospitality terminology, and repurposed Odoo's blog module as a help centre.
Can Restomax update its site without us?
Yes. The team feeds the help centre itself from Odoo, article by article, and the product pages are edited in the editor. This was a requirement of the project: point-of-sale software raises questions every day, and the documentation has to keep up without going through us.
Can another software company have the same type of site?
Yes. Two audiences with two vocabularies, several markets and a help centre: that is the situation of most B2B software companies. The mechanism for switching between worlds carries over as it is.
