The site of a brewery from 1765, rethought for Odoo.
WebNest led the redesign of the Bourgogne des Flandres site, the Bruges institution of beer and jenever. Goal: modernise the showcase, open it to seven languages and above all move visit and venue bookings onto Odoo, to centralise management in a single tool. A first step, designed to grow.
Bourgogne des Flandres is a Bruges institution that has been brewing since 1765.
Brewery and distillery on the canal side, bar, visitor venue, event rooms, with a range spanning mixed-fermentation beers to barrel-aged whiskies, under two brands: Bourgogne des Flandres and Den Os.
The starting point.
The priority wasn't to rebuild everything, but to lay the right foundations.
The real challenge: moving visit and venue bookings onto Odoo, so the team steers its activity from a single back-office instead of juggling several tools. In parallel: modernise the design, broaden the editorial content and open the site to international audiences.
Online sales, meanwhile, stay on the existing shop (FinestShop), a deliberate choice: we move step by step, without breaking what works.
Our approach.
UX / Design
The house holds two worlds: Bourgogne des Flandres, the historic signature, and Den Os, the more premium line right up to the whiskies. Two territories, two tones, a single site, each brand with its place, without breaking the coherence. All in a black-and-red identity, with a narrative History page that unfolds on scroll, from the 1765 origins to today.
Technical
Visits are now booked online via Odoo's Events module. The technical configuration of the ticketing was handled by their Odoo partner provider; we took on what was most lacking, the journey and the design. The native views, too administrative, were entirely reworked in bespoke CSS, in the house's colours, from choosing the visit to the confirmation.
Custom-built
Beyond the visits, the brewery can be privatised. We built the Event & Location page around its three spaces (The Brewer's Canteen, the Salle Timmermans and The Brewer's Office) with a request form (space, number of people, date, details) that goes straight into Odoo, in the same place as the bookings. And a polished age check at the entrance, in the brand's codes.
The result.
What WebNest delivered.
Bourgogne des Flandres now steers its visit and venue bookings from a single Odoo back-office, with a modernised, multilingual site, and a real brand story.
The showcase does the work of desire and information (each beer, jenever or whisky has its page) and directs to the existing shop for sales. The foundations are laid; the migration of e-commerce to Odoo can come in V2.
